Question by B-Y2j: How long to wait between messaging a girl on a dating site after prior contact?
So I began talking to a girl over thanksgiving break on a dating site, and things started off really well. Obviously neither of us had a lot of responsibility because of it being break and we would message each other 2-3 times a day. We decided to take it fairly slow and back of the exchange of phone numbers ordeal for a fit and just get to know each other. The conversation went fine until last weds when I received my last message from her. I responded Wednesday night with no expectations of a response that night. However, it is now Sunday evening and I am slightly confused. I know we both have classes now and such, but it seems a little out of place. I have seen her log into the site almost daily, and have yet to get an answer. Four days seems awfully long in comparison to what was going on, but maybe I’m just paranoid as I’ve never talked to someone online before.
At what point is it acceptable to second a second consecutive message just as a little reminder that I am interested, and what if anything specific should I say / avoid saying to upset the situation even more? Now? After a week? Never, and wait for her response regardless of time? (I guess girls would be able to answer this question best)

Once dating is just a platform for people to find each other. Once you know each other well after several email exchange, you should consider to meet each other face to face. It’s not a good idea to email back and forth again and again on the dating site.
From what you said, just think you have already learned each other well in the past communications. So it should be the right time to move the online relationship offline. If you just email her from time to time online, she may think you are not ready to start to relationship, or she may think you are also interested in someone else.
